ANIMAL RESCUE ASSISTANCE
Animal Rescue Assistance’s goal is to reduce the number of unwanted pets by providing educational programs, spay/neuter programs, helping people to keep their pets, and by helping people responsibly rehome their personal pets or pets they have rescued by providing financial aid for vetting, crates, and food when available. This website also provides helpful advice from experienced rescuers. We are an all volunteer organization, with no paid employees.
ATLANTA BULLY RESCUE
We do not take in animals from the public; we stay full with the strays our volunteers find. The majority of the dogs in our rescue and the dogs in county shelters are pit bull type dogs. Right now in most GA shelters, at least 70% of the dogs are pit bulls. We are a licensed, nonprofit 501(c)3 shelter. The dogs are in foster homes and they get a lot of socialization and attention. They are kept indoors and are treated like family pets. All of our adult dogs up for adoption are house and crate trained. All pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and kept up to date on heartworm and flea preventative. Some of our adoptable dogs have received additional vetting. We generally have only 10 dogs up for adoption depending on how many active foster homes we have available. We strongly believe it’s not about the quantity of dogs you rescue, but it’s about the quality of life you give them.
On average, 90,000 pets are euthanized
each year in metro Atlanta shelters. Please spay and neuter your pets
or you are taking a chance of being responsible for adding to these
deaths.
